In 'Old Garden, New Gardener' we will show you how to overcome a whole range of problems that you might find yourself facing when you move into a house, especially if you're a new, or, at least, not very experienced gardener. We're also working on the assumption that, like most people when you buy a house, you have spent most of your money on the bricks and mortar and any essential jobs that need doing, so that, even with a very sympathetic bank manager, there's not a lot left to spend on the garden. There is certainly no question of simply calling in the professionals, handing over a large cheque and letting them do all the work, although sometimes you may need professional help for particular jobs.
